Audacity

The tool I choose this week to learn is called Audacity. April Peterson wrote a very easy to follow tutorial found here. I really wish I had discovered this tool earlier, its really easy to use and great for making adjustments to audio files. Earlier this semester we did a youtube video which you can find mine in a previous blog post. Since I had no idea how to edit audio I had to do the video in one take. It took a ton of attempts to get one that I was okay with. With this tool I could have saved time and made a better video.

This tool would have been really useful in the past few semesters as I've had a few classes that required videos/audio files. However, now that I am graduating I imagine that I might use this on my new blog that I'll be starting here in a few weeks when I move to Germany. I think the author of the tutorial did a very good job of giving us good resources to learn more about the program. After using the program it is easy to see that a in depth tutorial could have been hundreds if not thousands of pages.

I also wanted to thank all of you my classmates and readers for your valuable contributions this semester. It made me put more effort into researching my blog posts. I wish all of you the best of luck. I'll be posting my new blog here about my adventures in Germany if anyone is interested in the next couple weeks. Auf Wiedersehen!
